This is the genuine Astralpool 2200W three-phase pump motor, part number 71335. Fluidra describes it as the Motor 2200W Black Three-Phase Aus. Astralpool's pumps manual H0717800 lists 71335 for the XP 2.0 and XP 3.0 three-phase pumps, which Astralpool rates at 415V three-phase. One motor per pump.

Fluidra lists cooling fan 40275 and fan cowl 40274 for its Notos 3 HP and Notos three-phase motors, and cowl 40262 for its Fasco 2400W 3 HP motor. Fluidra's motor spare parts list gives the 3 HP bearing as 6204 (47 mm outside diameter, 20 mm bore, 14 mm wide).
Not this motor: single phase pumps take a single phase motor: 71331 (3 HP) or SP71613, SP71614 and SP71619 (750W to 1500W), or the mini motor 71310 (CTX 180, FX 190, E-Series). The XP 1 HP three-phase takes 71320, and the XP 4.0 takes 71338.

- Three-phase supply? 71335 is a three-phase motor. A 240V single phase pump takes a single phase motor instead.
- Read the pump badge. XP 3.0 three-phase or XP 2.0 three-phase: Astralpool's pumps manual H0717800 lists 71335. XP 1 HP three-phase: 71320. XP 4.0: 71338.
- Check the data plate on an XP 2.0. The manual lists 71335 for the XP 2.0 three-phase, and Fluidra describes 71335 as 2200W. Send us a photo before ordering.

Before You Replace the Motor
Before condemning the motor:
- Pump noisy or humming: the cause can be the impeller, bearings, mechanical seal or capacitor as well as the motor itself. Have it diagnosed before buying a motor.
- Pump not running: something may be stuck in the impeller. With the power isolated, check whether the impeller can move freely. If it does not move, something inside needs removing; if it does move, the motor may have failed.
- Damaged basket: debris can pass through a broken basket to the impeller and jam the pump.
Check regularly for leaks under the pump. A seal that is left leaking lets water reach the motor, so check the seal, seal plate and O-ring whenever the motor is off.

Fitting Notes
Isolate the pump at the switchboard before any work. Astralpool's pump manuals say the pump must be installed and serviced by a licensed electrician in accordance with AS/NZS 3000.
- Photograph the old motor's data plate and wiring before disconnecting anything.
- Separate the motor from the wet end and inspect the impeller, mechanical seal, seal plate and O-ring.
- Fit a new mechanical seal if the old one was leaking or is worn, and check the seal plate for cracks.

Plumbing sizes can be confusing. PVC and many other pipe systems use nominal sizes—the size is a name, not the exact measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems and other plumbing areas so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.
Why pipe sizes don’t match the measurements
The Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) system standardises pipe dimensions so that pipes, fittings, valves, and accessories interoperate.
