Skimmer Basket to suit Waterco S75 MKII Lock-Down Skimmer Boxes

A replacement leaf basket for Waterco S75 skimmer boxes that take the lock-down basket, often listed as the S75 MKII. The basket sits in the skimmer under the lid and catches leaves and debris before they reach the pump strainer and pump.

Waterco's current S75 skimmer is supplied with a lock-down leaf basket. Older S75 and Nally skimmers that take the press-fit basket need the Waterco / Nally Skimmer Basket instead.

  • Physically Stocked, unlike most "drop-shipping" websites.
  • Shipped from VIC, NSW, WA, QLD

Product details

  • Type: Pool skimmer basket (leaf basket)
  • Suits: Waterco S75 lock-down skimmer boxes (often listed as MKII)
  • Part number: PA-525

The S75 Lock-Down Check (S75-1.0)

Waterco S75 skimmers take either a press-fit basket or a lock-down basket. They are close in size, so the rim tells them apart:

  1. Switch off and open. Switch the filter pump off and lift the skimmer lid.
  2. Remove the old basket. Lift the old basket out. Lock-down baskets are turned a quarter turn to lock and release.
  3. Check the rim. Look at the top edge. A lock-down basket has a flat top edge with recesses that line up with lugs on the skimmer body. A press-fit basket has no recesses.
  4. Choose the basket. Recesses: this lock-down basket is the one you need. No recesses: order the Waterco / Nally Skimmer Basket (press-fit) instead.
  5. Check the size. Both are about 202 to 210 mm across the top and about 130 to 136 mm tall. A much wider basket, about 222 mm across, is the Paramount SP5000 type.

Guide measurements

  • Across the top rim: about 208 to 210 mm
  • Across the base: about 158 to 160 mm
  • Height: about 130 mm

Measurements for this basket type vary by a few millimetres between moulds, and depending on whether the rim, tabs or handle are included, so use them as a guide alongside the product photos.

Signs your skimmer basket needs replacing

  • Cracks or splits in the side wall or base, letting leaves through to the pump
  • Broken rim tabs or lugs, so the basket no longer sits or locks in place
  • Plastic that has gone pale, chalky or brittle
  • A handle that has snapped off
  • The pump basket keeps filling with debris the skimmer should have caught

Before you order

  • Compare your old basket with the product photos and the guide measurements above.
  • Check the brand and model of your skimmer box.

Frequently asked questions

Which skimmers does this basket suit?
Waterco S75 skimmer boxes that take the lock-down basket, often listed as the S75 MKII. Waterco's current S75 skimmer is supplied with a lock-down basket.

What is the difference between this and the Waterco / Nally basket?
This lock-down basket has recesses in a flat top edge and is turned a quarter turn to lock onto lugs in the skimmer body. The Waterco / Nally Skimmer Basket is a press-fit type without the recesses. The two are close in size, so check the rim of your old basket.

Will it fit a Paramount SP5000 skimmer?
No. The SP5000 takes a wider basket, about 222 mm across the top. Order the Waterco Paramount Skimmer Basket.

Is this the same as the basket in my pump?
No. A pump basket sits in the pump's strainer housing under the pump lid. A skimmer basket sits in the skimmer box at the edge of the pool. Pump baskets are listed under pump basket strainers.

What if my old basket does not match?
Send us a photo of the skimmer with the lid off, a photo of the old basket and its measurements, and we will help you find the right one. Contact us.
