Onga Classic Spa Jet & Jet Body – 88mm / 89mm / 90mm – Discontinued

The original Onga Classic Spa Jet was widely used in Australian spas and spa baths throughout the 1990s. These jets were discontinued in the early 2000s and have been out of production for decades.

No direct replacement is available. If the original jet or body has failed, replacing the entire assembly with a modern alternative requires modifications to the spa shell and plumbing. See closest replacement body and jets here.

Original Specifications

  • Jet face diameter: Approximately 88–90mm
  • Spa shell hole size: 60mm
  • Jet face removal: Retaining catch accessed through the nozzle using a flat-blade screwdriver
  • Plumbing connections: 40mm water and 25mm air hard-plumbed, or 19mm water and 9mm air barbed connections

Replacement & Compatibility

Modern spa jets are not direct replacements. Installation requires enlarging or modifying the existing shell opening and significant replumbing to accommodate different jet bodies and connections.

Changes to the jet design may also affect water pressure, flow and overall spa performance.

Important: Given the age of these systems and the extent of modifications required, replacing multiple Onga Classic jets may be economically impractical. In many cases, the repair cost may exceed the practical value of the spa or spa bath.

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD
