The Astralpool Echo is an Australian-designed salt chlorinator that also takes over control of the rest of the equipment pad. It is the mid-tier model in the new Astralpool range, sitting above the Solo chlorinator and below the Halo Pro automation system. The 18 gram per hour model is rated to approximately 40,000 litres in tropical conditions and 50,000 litres in a temperate climate.

Key Features

• Connected Pool Management: built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for seamless control through the FluidraPool app
• Advanced Automation Features: Heat Demand functionality, Seasonal Mode and Sensorless Acid Dosing capability
• Equipment Integration: compatible with Astralpool variable-speed pumps, Halo Lite lighting, and heaters such as heat pumps or gas heaters
• Smart Touchscreen Experience: intuitive 5-inch touchscreen interface with guided setup and favourites access
• Future Ready Platform: designed to support expanding connected pool ecosystems and automation accessories
• Australian Designed & Manufactured: built locally for Australian conditions and customer expectations.

Chlorination

• 18 grams per hour output, adjustable in fine increments
• Reverse-polarity self-cleaning cell with WWDG technology, cleaning approximately every 4 hours and adjustable to around 6
• Titanium electrodes with ruthenium and iridium coating in a clear housing, so cell condition can be checked without pulling it out
• All Seasons operation reduces output as water temperature falls, rather than running summer production through winter
• Boost / Super Chlorinate and Spa modes
• No-flow protection, plus high and low salt warnings
• Designed around a recommended salinity of approximately 4,000 ppm

Equipment Control

• Filtration pump control, including compatible variable-speed pumps
• Heater control - one heater, any brand. Echo drives a heater through a dry-contact output wired to the heater's remote-control input, so it is not limited to Astralpool heaters - heat pumps and gas heaters from other manufacturers can be run the same way. Echo controls one heater only
• Pool lighting control
• Compatible with Fluidra's Bluetooth filter-pressure sensor, which can flag when filter pressure has climbed far enough above the clean baseline to warrant a clean or backwash

pH, ORP and Dosing

Echo can be fitted with pH and ORP probes and run automatic dosing from them, so water chemistry is measured and corrected rather than dosed on a fixed program. Probes and dosing equipment are separate items and are not supplied with the chlorinator. Contact us to confirm what your installation needs before ordering.

Echo or Halo?

Echo is the mid-tier choice. It covers chlorination, filtration and variable-speed pump control, one heater of any brand, pool lighting, and optional pH and ORP probes with dosing. If you do not need full Halo automation, Echo is usually the model to go with. Where full pool and spa automation is required, the Halo Pro system is the step up.

Control and Scheduling

• Touchscreen interface, with the circular ring on the fascia doubling as an illuminated status indicator for filtering, chlorinating, updates, warnings and faults. Idle colour is customisable
• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with mobile app control
• Four configurable seasons with adjustable start and finish dates, so schedules can vary by both day of week and season. A Monday in winter can run differently to a Monday in summer without resetting timers each time the weather turns
