Discontinued Pumps

Plenty of older spa pumps are no longer manufactured, including the full Aqua-Flo XP2 and XP2e range. Where a pump has been discontinued we list the direct replacement that matches the original plumbing, so you will not need to re-pipe the spa.

Four Things to Check Before You Order

  • Speed. Count the wires at the plug. Three wires is a 1-speed pump. Four wires is a 2-speed.
  • Horsepower. Read it off the motor label. Be aware that some spa manufacturers quote an inflated figure such as 4.8 BHP, which is 2.0HP in Australian terms.
  • Plug type. AMP, overmoulded AMP, Mini J&J, or Australian 3-pin. The wrong lead means the pump will not connect to your controller. We also carry inline cable connectors to use old leads with new pumps.
  • Union size. Most Australian spa pumps use 2"/50mm unions, but 1.5"/40mm is also common on smaller spas. Measure the thread rather than guessing.

  • Handy PVC Plumbing Size Info

    Plumbing sizes can be confusing. Pressure PVC pipe use nominal sizes - the size is simple a name, not the measured dimension. This convention is used across most pool and spa systems so that pipes and fittings remain compatible.

    • 50mm / 2" = ~60-61mm OD
    • 40mm / 1.5" = ~48mm OD
    • 25mm / 1" = ~33-34mm OD
